This week in class, we each got to laser engrave our personal logos onto a tumbler supplied by JDS Industries. This has been one of my favorite things I’ve made yet. I think laser engraving is one of the coolest ways to personalize your belongings.
The logo I chose for myself is a rather simple design, but one thing I’ve learned is that less is always more. These are my initials written in my own handwriting. One of my newest favorite design techniques is to use my own handwriting by image tracing it in Illustrator. This adds a unique personalization to any design that cannot be replicated.
I plan on displaying this tumbler at our upcoming portfolio show in order to display my personal brand to potential employers.
