As mentioned in my previous post, a huge recent inspiration of mine has been photography. I have found that I really enjoy incorporating my imagery into my design work. For example, in my layout course, we are to build our own advertisements. Instead of adding solid colors or gradients as a background, I started to use my own images that I have taken.

Over the past few days, I’ve gone to various locations around town, such as Falls Park and the bike trails, to capture as many different photos in nature as I could. I used an image from The Falls as a background for a water bottle ad that I’m creating. I’m excited to see what else I will continue to learn throughout the remainder of this semester.
