It wasn’t until I started designing that I began to recognize the significance of font and typeface. This is something that I would have never thought twice about before I became a designer. Both font and typeface are so important in creating a unified composition. Font and typeface also help to communicate the tone that you are trying to convey. I’ve always had a lot of fun experimenting on different fonts. I have to admit, I do often become frustrated with just how many options there is and can become overwhelmed. I always take the time to go through may different size options, and narrowing my options down to a serif, or a san serif. While designing the cover of my magazine, I chose to go with a more decorative serif font to better represent the theme of my magazine, which is titles “Discover”.
