A top artist of mine, Tame Impala, released his new studio album a few weeks back. As an avid physical media consumer, I of course had to pick up a copy to listen to on my stereo. I was really impressed with the vinyl package design for this album. The pressing itself, the inner sleeves, and the lyric booklet all tie together to create an intriguing work of art.

Everything from font choice, imagery, and color seems to be carefully arranged and well thought out. Before starting school for graphic design, this is something I would have never thought twice about. But knowing what I do now, I can’t help but give thought and consideration to any kind of packaging that I come across.
