This week, I had the amazing opportunity to tour Panther Graphics here in Sioux Falls. Panther Graphics specializes in producing magazines, prints, posters, and logo designs on virtually any type of apparel you could think of. My favorite part was being able to see large-scale printing press in action. A lot more goes into a printer than I ever would’ve imagined.

Another part of the tour I really found interesting was the embroidery room. Brands will use this for placing logos on hats, shirts, coats, sweatshirts, you name it. I think embroidery is much more unique than something that was simply screen printed, and I’ve always found it very cool.

I really hope to be able to visit more places similar to Panther Graphics this year so I can really get a feel of what I want to do as a career. I’m anxious to hear back if Panther will be offering an internship for next year. I will definitely be applying if so!
