This week I worked on portrait photography for the first time. We did Rembrandt, butterfly, and split lighting on our subjects. Before starting this kind of photography, I had no idea what all went into the lighting to achieve the perfect shot.

Out of the three, split lighting was my favorite to capture. Aaron killed it as my subject. I like the mysterious and serious tone this technique creates. I’m looking forward to capturing even more portraits as my photography experience continues to expand.
