For this week’s photography assignment, we were to execute 4 new types of photos. Civil twilight, light trails, light painting, and silhouette. Out of these four, the silhouette was my favorite to shoot. I had my roommate stand in our backyard against the autumn sky to capture this photo.

Although this sunset wasn’t too exciting, I was able to capture shades of dark blue and orange across the horizon. I’m interested in applying this technique to various subjects. I think a landscape silhouette would be pretty cool to do.
